ACCM Health Savings Program FAQs

I am new to medical cannabis—what do I need to do?
To participate in the ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program, simply sign up. Once you complete and submit the form above, we'll provide you with step-by-step instructions, and walk you through the whole process. We connect you with a doctor, get you state qualified (getting your state card), and get you ready to save at the pharmacy/dispensary. Then we'll show you how to save on every medical-cannabis purchase.
What is required to become a qualifying patient?
Each State has different requirements. We'll provide step-by-step instructions on how to participate in your state.
How do I benefit financially by being an ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program member?
First, You Save on Medical Cannabis Every Day — You save at least 10% on medical-cannabis purchases at all Member First Health Network locations. You know what you spend on medical cannabis annually—the average person spends $1200 – $3600 per year. That means you'll save hundreds each year.

Second, in addition to the savings program, as an Elevated States/CannaLnx member you qualify to purchase health plan/benefits packages that offer between $100 and $175/mo. in medical-cannabis stipends (reimbursements). That means thousands more per year in lower costs. (See last question below for more detail on insurance/benefit programs.)

What are the educational and information benefits of the Elevated States Program?
The ongoing relationship is what sets us apart. Elevated States is a program provided by the American Council of Cannabis Medicine (ACCM)—a non-profit dedicated to the advancement and professional treatment of medical cannabis. ACCM is the only national organization engaged in daily advocacy and education around this mission.

Your journey starts with getting the help you need to understand participation, whether you are new to medical cannabis, or a long-time patient. ACCM/Elevated States membership provides you with current and evolving information about medical cannabis (including timely alerts and updates). Additionally, we and our technology partner CannaLnx help you with your personal wellness efforts, by connecting you with additional resources. By joining Elevated States, you have access to everything in the ACCM and CannaLnx universe. ACCM is here to support your medical-cannabis journey.

How much does ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program membership cost?
No payment is necessary. Because you’ve been referred into ACCM/Elevated States and CannaLnx through one of our trusted industry partners, registering as a member patient and participation in the savings program is free.

The savings program is a covered benefit for medical-cannabis patients who become registered Elevated States/CannaLnx members using the registration form on this page.

Why should I join the ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program?
The ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program makes it simple to become a medical-cannabis patient and more. The program walks you through an automated step-by-step process that connects you with a leading physician, provides membership on the CannaLnx platform, and helps you get your state paperwork processed. Once you have your state approval, you’ll receive your ACCM/Elevated States savings card powered by CannaScripts, which connects you to medical-cannabis dispensaries and provides national network savings.
How does the savings program work?
First, to find participating dispensaries/pharmacies, ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program members use the “Find a Dispensary" feature on the CannaLnx Platform. Then, when members purchase medical cannabis at a dispensary or online, they just show their Elevated States Health Savings Program Card to the dispensary (or enter the card number online). Your ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program card is always securely available on the CannaLnx platform (via your Sign-In Avatar or photo drop-down menu). Members are responsible for paying all charges for purchases directly to the provider (dispensary).
How can I locate the closest dispensary?
You can visit CannaLnx and locate Member First Health Network dispensaries, as well as non-network dispensaries.

What should I say when I call a provider to verify they're part of the network and participate in the ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program?
Providers (dispensaries) will recognize the network's name, “Member First Health Network,” in which they participate. So, when you call, be sure to mention "Member First Health Network." The ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program card is part of that network and powered by CannaScripts.
What if the dispensary or pharmacy I patronize does not currently accept the ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings card?
The American Council of Cannabis Medicine (ACCM) and CannaScripts are engaged with most of the industry. However, the national network is currently building and expanding. We will provide easy-to-follow instructions so your chosen dispensary/pharmacy location can register with the Member First Health Network.
Once I select a dispensary, am I assigned to that dispensary? How often can I change dispensaries?
Another great feature of the ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program is it allows you to shop at any pharmacy/dispensary participating in the Member First Health Network. You can visit any participating pharmacy any time.
Can I use my ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program when I travel away from home?
Yes, except where the ACCM/Elevated States Health Savings Program or its benefits aren't available. Members must be eligible to purchase medical cannabis in the state in which the dispensary is located.
Is the Savings Program an insurance plan?
No, the DirectPrimary Health Savings Program is not an insurance plan. The Program provides you with special prices on medical cannabis purchased at participating network dispensaries. You pay the special price when you make a purchase.
Is it true that health insurance/benefits programs with medical-cannabis monthly reimbursement stipends are now available to patients?
Yes, it's true. In addition to the ACCM/Elevated States savings program explained above, health insurance programs featuring medical-cannabis reimbursement for patients are now available to Elevated States/CannaLnx members.

Non-insurance wellness stipends of $100 – $175/mo. for therapeutics, including medical cannabis, are now available via third-party administrators (TPAs) working within the health insurance industry—finally responding to market demand among medical-cannabis and other patients reliant on therapeutic remedies.

These wellness benefits are bundled along with medically underwritten traditional health insurance plans by TPAs and sold through qualified and licensed insurance brokers to private employers and individuals (families).

Patients get both meaningful medical-cannabis benefits and a great health insurance plan.

All insurance and wellness products are provided by various insurance, wellness, sharing and benefit companies, working exclusively with licensed insurance professionals who operate under state insurance laws—and in collaboration with ACCM’s Elevated States Program.

Inquiries for program applicants can be submitted through https://elevatedmembership.org/ma.

A professional agent with United Agencies processes program inquiries and provides individual and group quotes and policy details. Patients (or their employers) pay a premium for these health program packages.
